- I have a Motorola BitSurfr PRO (don't get just the Bitsufr, old and worthless no 2b bonding)
- Being used with an A3000T thru a MultifaceIII card. The Bitsurfr PRO is an external ISDN modem
- and NT1 built into 1 that looks like an extremely High speed modem to whatever computer you
- connect it to. I use it's Multilink PPP built in option to dialup my ISP and get reall speeds of
- 11.5 Kilobytes a second with it. It can do the full 16 Kilobytes a second that 2B channels can support
- with Multilink PPP but then you would need a non standard BAUD rate above 115200 which at present
- you can't do on Amiga's or PC's. Even so 11.5 kilobytes a second using it either on my Amiga or my PC
- is fantastic. Before you go buying an ISDN modem like this one though check what the ISDN line rates
- from your phone company are. ISDN still uses your standard Phone cable but it's end is connected to a Digital
- switch like a DMS-200 or National ISDN-1 and not an Analog phone switch box (this is all well outside your home
- where all the phone lines in your area concentrate) Pacific Bell has a Flat rate ISDN cost in my area
- of $32. Initial hookup costs are $100.00 but that can be waived if you contract to have the ISDN line for
- at least 2 years.
- ISDN BRI is great........Allows 2 standard lines on 1 standard phone cable. I can dial-out at 64kilobits a second
- (8kilobytes xfer speed) using just one of the B channels and make a phone call on the other B channel at the same
- time.

- Motorola Bitsurfr PRO 128k ISDN Multilink PPP
- P.S. Check the dialup ISDN costs from your ISP also...Most ISP's charge more for ISDn access than regular phone
- dialup.
